Due to the vessel design, introduced liquids form menisci of varying heights on the sides of the vessel.
This vessel illustrates in a simple way the capillary forces of liquids and their behavior on surfaces due to their surface tension.
The vessel is specially dimensioned (wedge-shaped; tapering to a point on one side) and made of acrylic glass. A base attached to the vessel makes it difficult to tip over, making it well-suited for use in school lessons.
