TUNISIA – One of the world’s oldest, Tunisia’s flag (which was adopted in 1831) consists of a red background with a white circle at its center. In the middle of the white circle is a red crescent encircling a red five point star, which are traditional symbols of Islam and are also considered to be lucky symbols. The white circle represents the sun.
