PARAGUAY – Inspired by the French flag, three equally sized horizontal stripes of red (top), white (middle), and blue (bottom) make up the flag of Paraguay. Floating center, in the white stripe, is an emblem - the nation’s coat of arms on the front and on the back, the country’s Treasury Seal. Paraguay’s flag was adopted in 1842.
