Kuwait’s flag is a horizontal tribar made up of equally sized stripes – green (top), white (middle), and red (bottom). At the left side of the flag is a black trapezoid. The colors of this flag, which was adopted in 1961, represent Arab unity and independence, and are used in the flags of many countries in the region.
