Use this versatile double-walled calorimeter with or without the electric heating element. With the heating element, students can determine the electrical equivalent of heat, or they can use the calorimeter without the heating element as a standard double-walled calorimeter. The spring heating element operates on 0–6 V DC and approximately 2–3.5 W. The 1.7-cm thick polystyrene lining, plastic insulator ring and aluminum heat reservoir are designed to control heat loss. Reservoir has 150-mL capacity and has a built-in thermometer cork.
