COLOMBIA – Adopted in 1861, Colombia’s flag is made up of three horizontal stripes; yellow at the top, blue in the middle, and red at the bottom. However, unlike most flags that implement a similar format, where the stripes are of equal width, the yellow stripe on Colombia’s flag occupies the entire top half, while the blue and red stripes each make up only one quarter in the flag’s lower region.
