BENIN – Benin’s eye-catching flag, which was originally adopted in 1959 (abandoned in 1975, and later reinstated in 1990), is made up of three stripes of equal width. Horizontally and to the right, a yellow stripe lies atop a red stripe. To the left of the red and yellow stripes, is a vertical green stripe.
